Smelly hat!!

What is the best way to wash my JTE hat?

It's really started to whiff and is quite grimey (inside by my forehead)

But I don't want to ruin it by just scrubbing it with washing up liquid .

Dunno about cleaning it up now but once it's done (no doubt someone will post how soon ) Charles Owen hat sanitiser spray is good to use after wearing. Keeps my hat smelling surprisingly fresh (lol)!

Wipe over with baby wipe. Surprizing how much gunk comes off!

Wipe with baby wipes and then put one of those tumble dryer sheets in it, works a treat!

you can buy an aerosol hat cleaner, it makes a mousse bit like carpet cleaner, did mine fab

Yes! Was a skill cap tho - not leather or velvet - should have qualified that! Works a treat, done it a few times!

I've lost a few hats in the past to 'smelly head'

Once it's a bit less wiffy I can highly recommend the practise of popping a panty liner on the inside and changing every day or so. My OH no longer shrinks away from greeting me home from the yard with a cuddle!
