Just on the off chance someone might have some advice/experience on this please. I have a 27 yr old Sheltland mare that I took on 12 years ago. For quite a while she was getting faecal water syndrome and very soft droppings which cleared up after putting apple cider vinegar in her feed but she is still now excreting other mare fluids and urine down her legs and I wash her down daily. This is ongoing now where as in the beginning it seemed it might be to do with her seasons. The vet thought possible nerve damage from her arthritis in her hindquarters which, if so, I don't suppose I can do anything about and it doesn't seem wise to get lots of tests done now. She's a lot better moving about since giving her Devils Claw liquid and is a happy pony otherwise, just very smelly even with daily washing. She's very picky with food so if anyone recommends a supplement I'd need to syringe it in. Guess I'm just hoping something would work as the ACV did for the faecal water. Many thanks.
