Smokey; my final update

OP - how sad for you to have to say goodbye, but how fortunate that Smokey has gone to a wonderful new home with Al, Lolo & family, I look forwards to seeing him out and about locally.

Lolo - Have I missed something? What has happened to Bee?

Thank you for everyone's good wishes, he is a lovely horse and Al is very smitten. They had another hack today and she couldn't stop smiling!

MM, her funny quirks and mannerisms became something much more sinister feeling, resulting in some scary episodes (she put her head through a window because she thought her reflection was another horse, and she went to attack it...), and then she began tying up when she came into season this spring. The vets ran some blood tests and found she had more testosterone in her blood than they'd expect in a stallion- they found she had aggressive ovarian cysts. They could have operated, but she could have only returned to hacking, if anything, afterwards and she just hated hacking. It would have also been her second major operation in under 18 months, which just wasn't fair on her. So Al had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to her 2 weeks ago today. She was devastated- her and Bee had come through so much together, and Bee was her little madam with a serious point to prove and they were going to take on the world together. But somethings aren't meant to be- reckon she's joined Cheeky and Almera, kicking up their heels and causing mayhem :)

Oh dear. Sounds like the only option for her. My condolences to you all
