I'm reading Fiona Walker Kiss & Tell at the mo- only halfway through but quite good so far!

Have you read 'Horse Heaven'? Personally I didn't like the read, but many seem to love the book. It might be worth a try as it is a nice chunky book, it's length is the only thing I liked about it :p I do seem to be in the minority, everyone else raves about it, in fact I have never met/heard of anyone else who didn't like it.

I didn't like it either! :p

Love the Fiona Walker's now (recent convert) have found all the 'Oddlode' ones and am trying to find the earlier ones now; ebay's quite good.

Ooh books!

I would recommend...

In the pink by molly watson (hilarious, I just laughed the entire way through the book, then read it again!)

Jenny Pitman writes okay books... but I don't really like her :p

You are the first person I have come across that didn't like them either!!!

I've never read any of Fiona Walker's books, I'll have to have a look at them. I'm reading my first Marion Keyes book at the moment, haven't read enough to have made up my mind on it, but I don't dislike it so far which always a good sign!

Horsey Heaven - I thought it was a good book but can be a little hard work to keep tags on all the characters. Very interesting insight into racing in America though. However if you take that expecting a JC romp you will be sadly mistaken!

I'm reading 'Riding Lessons' by Sara Gruen at the moment and it's a really good read. Not very romantic so far but definitely a good horsey novel. Also there is a sequel to it called 'Flying Changes'.

I'm currently writing one, if that helps...? :p:D

Caroline Akrill's Flying Changes is a massive favourite of mine. I love Jilly Cooper, but can't stand Fiona Walker's books (although I think I'm the only one who dislikes them on here!). Dick Francis, John Francome and Jenny Pitman are all very good but not particularly smutty :p

For a real laugh, try a book called Spring Moon Over Badminton. I bought a signed copy at Badminton many, many years ago (I was about 11 at the time)...let's just say it contributed massively to my early 'birds and the bees' education

Half way through Fiona Walkers "Kiss and Tell" and tbh it's really not doing anything for me - not got enough about it but would be ok for a holiday pick up/put down book.

It's the first horsey novel I've read and tbh it has put me off!
