Snaffle bridle for yearling, but what size?

I would like to buy a bridle suitable for the Futurity but not sure what type would suit my filly best, nor even what size would fit her.

The filly is entered for Eventing section, is TBxWB and stands about 15hh now. She wears a straight nylon bit.

I measured over her head today, bit-ring to bit-ring measures 35" (or 89cm), and 21" (~54cm) around her nose where the canvasson would sit.

Question (A)
What size bridle am I looking to buy, pony or cob size???

Question (B)
What style bridle would suit her type, for this class?

Question (C)
Any idea where I can get said recommended bridle online?

I'm still recovering from my broken ankle and cannot drive yet. It's sooo frustrating.

Aww she's very pretty

She looks to have quite a fine head so the noseband and browband on a cob size bridle would probably be too big. But then again she looks quite long as well so the cheekpieces on a pony size bridle might be too short!

I'm not being very helpful here, sorry lol. Can't you mix and match a pony and cob bridle together to get the perfect fit? Borrow from friends?

I'd go for a plain raised cavesson bridle in black.

Yes, she's just at that awkward stage with her headcollars too. Pony size is too small around her poll (well, it just about squeezes on when done up on the last hole) but fits nicely through the throat latch and nose. A cob size just hangs off her even though it fits great lengthways. Aaaargh....

Friends to borrow from?.... I have no friends.... SOB.

I will have some bridles there on the day, only got one going in your class so we should be able to work something out for you, panic not

Although my yearling will not have bits in, so if you want her in a bit, we will have to figure something out

Actually, now I remember why exactly I started panicing about converting my show slip into a bitted bridle or buying a new one! Duh, it's been a long day. Sorry

I've a leather in-hand slip for my filly, the sort you run a chain through the rings under the jaw. What I thought this morning was, what happens when the horses are shown loose at the Futurity? Obviously I'd need to remove the chain....... and the bridle would fall off

Nor do I fancy running my filly around loose without anything on her head - could be tricky to catch her if she's excited. What are you planning for your yearlings for the loose section?

We are using a very fine chain coupling behind the jaw, with the lead attached to that so we can just unclip it. Claire had a practice the other day and sent me a picture of how it would look. They are rolled leather and look really nice on the fillies as they are not too bulky.

It looks good. We will have both pony and cob sizes there on the day.

This filly is wearing a cob size, we are getting her a pony one as I would like to see it a bit higher and it is on the last hole.
