hi all,
im looking for some help! im only 15 so excuse my lack of knowledge! my loan pony currently wears a cavesson bridle with a french link egg butt bit. i have found the perfect on bridle i actually like! but its a snaffle bridle with flash! i will take flash out but im wondering if it will still be okay!? as im ont sure what is actually meant by snaffle!?
any help appreciated thanks :)

hi! you can just take the flash off! it will have the attachment but if you dont mind the noseband with the attachment thats fine :) snaffle is a bridle that is suited for a snaffle bit, so it is not suitable to ride in a double :) Hope that helps!

Snaffle Bridle refers to the type of bit on the bridle. A snaffle bridle can be used with a pelham if you buy a second set of reins.

A double or weymouth bridle has two bits - a bridoon (snaffle) and a weymouth (curb), two pairs of reins, one rein is wider than the other and has a buckle in the middle - this is used on the bridoon. The other rein is thinner and is sewn together in the middle, this is attached to the curb bit. Then there is a slip head (strap) that holds the bridoon bit
