Hello, I have an Avante headpiece from Horsemanship Saddlery for my horse which fits well but now I am looking for a double bridle. Does anyone have any experience of double bridle headpieces that usually fit horses who need an Avante shaped headpiece for a snaffle bridle?

You don't need a separate head piece you just buy a normal thin headslip for the snaffle bit and put it under your regular head piece.
Thank you, I wasn't aware of these and they would save a lot of money too. I am concerned that this would create pressure points though, especially when combined with an anatomical headpiece. If only there was one shaped like my Avante headpiece.

It's so thin it's meant to sit under a headpiece putting 2 wide head pieces would cause more pressure I would imagine and the snaffle headpiece is meant to sit under the one that takes the Weymouth.

Some people use a padded cover and put both pieces through it I have one but it won't be shaped like your headpiece, you could have one made so it's the same shape and have both straps sit on that.

if you have an anatomical headpeice it's defeating the purpose to put a sliphead under it as yes, it will create pressure points. Speak to Vortex bridles.. I have literally just bought one of their brand new anatomical double headpeices. I don't think they are even on their website yet.
