I feel I should know the answer to this, but Ffee takes your hand off for a treat, I have never had one so bad and cannot think of how to get her to be gentle.
I have been away and she has been hurled a million treats a day by Granny, which hasn't helped, although to be fair she has always been pretty bad.
Canm someone talk me through this!?

Hold the treat in your hand which is clenched into a fist shape. She will smell it and try to mug your hand; only open your hand flat and reward her when she backs off and stops nudging/mugging you.

Also, start teaching impulse control.....treat on floor, make dog sit and wait until you tell her to take it. If she goes to nab it before you say, just put your foot on it. (The treat that is!)

Thank you. I did try the hiding it in my hand but gave up too soon.
Will also work on impulse control, she waits for her bowl but I hadn't done it with treats.
Excellent, thank you. The hooligan will soon be reformed!

And lol at putting the foot on the treat or the dog!

Exactly this worked for The Yellow Peril, although I didn't realise it was called impulse control, now I'm even more chuffed that I've taught her impulse control rather than simply stopping her snatching! 😀
We used to balance gravy bones on Spot's nose when she was asleep, when she woke up she'd give one flick of the head, toss the treat in the air and catch it, she never missed. 🐾😍
