Snorting/weepy gunky eye GSD pup?

For the past couple of days our 8 month old GSD has been making these grogging snorting noises, isn't bringing up anything nor does he have a snotty nose. His left eye looks like the start of conjunctivitis too so we have been bathing it with salt water.
He is also quite tired and panting but I've been putting that down to the heat and his big coat as he doesn't appear to be lacking on energy when it's playtime especially in the water!
He just sounds a bit bunged up/congested.
Would you take him to the vets or wait it out over the weekend?

He'd be at the vet yesterday.

its only thursday, I would be taking him to the vet before the weekend -especially as he's a pup, can you take his temperature?

cold tea is soothing for sore eyes in the meantime-but take him to vet as soon as you can.

Thanks all, Got an appointment for tomorrow Hopeful that it's not an allergy to the pollen and it's just me being paranoid or a cold.

We got on ok thank you he has a bit of conjunctivitis as I suspected and slightly swollen lymph nodes so we have some ointment and meloxicam for a couple of days

Always best to be on the safe side with eyes, imo. Especially as they can do so much damage just rubbing because of something really simple.
