Ricoh has what appears very much like a human cold.

He sneezed a few times yesterday then had a bit of a restless night, I heard him get out of his bed and walk around a couple of times. This morning he was quite snuffly, worse after a walk, and sneezed up a string of snot mid morning. Tonight he's very snuffly, a bit quiet and I've just had to wipe his nose for him as there was some snot blocking it. *hurk*

No coughing at all, he had a kennel cough vaccine earlier this year (can't remember which without going to fetch the records, think it was just bordetella).

Does he need to see the vet tomorrow or is it a case of rest and warmth?

Perhaps he has the same thing as my dog. She's always snuffly and leaves horrible "snot gremlins" on the floor (We've taken to calling it that, makes it seem less gross)

I can't remember what it's called or what cures/causes it. I'll ask my mother tomorrow and let you know :)

If it is the same thing, apparently it's nothing to worry about, just really gross!

Is Dax ok? I personally have never known a dog with KC to be snotty as such. Would think a trip to the vet may be in order really. Maybe he has something up his snoz! Or as above Rhinitis is possible. I would get him checked out especially if hes obviously a bit restless and uncomfy.

Yeah Dax is fine, no symptoms at all and is deeply puzzled as to why he doesn't want to play rough with her!

Bloody hell, I've only just sorted the insurance claim for his bladder investigations (£800!!), back to the vet we go. :o

We have KC constantly running through the kennels, at a guess about 10% get an awful snotty nose. If it was purely a cough Id be inclined to leave it and see how things develop but the grotty nose will probably need antibiotics. Dax wont neccessarily get it, Ive had dogs surrounded by coughers in kennels that never suffered a bit!
Hope the bill isnt too painful!
