Are they always sinister?
One of my mares had a snotty nose on Saturday morning, and again this morning (no evidence of any in between) but is bright in herself, looks extremely healthy and is feeling it too!
There is not a lot of the snot (I have also checked all around her haybar) and it is not discoloured, just cloudy rather than clear... On Saturday I put it down to the fact she was rinsed down with a cold hose after work (cruel Mum, I know) at my trainers, and then the temperature suddenly dropped after it had been a lovely day. Then on Sunday we got drenched at the dressage competition
Could it just be she has caught a chill? Is there anything I need to look out for? Or is a vet visit the best option (which would have to be Monday as I would need to make an appointment)?
