We have had snow for the past few days, not much mind. This morning is a different matter, fairly thick and it is coming down very fast

I am really fed up of this now.

It looks beautiful..........but it's so frustrating!! We are already about a month behind with our fittening work coz we lost out at christmas but this is silly!! We live in Britain not Norway!!! we woke up early coz we were fence judging today, but it's totally white outside! What is with this weather?!!!!

We've got it too, but we're only up the road from Derbyshire! I am still contemplating going for a hack though as it's small fine flakes at the moment.

Peak Forest and Tideswell will be looking very pretty (I'm not driving up there to look though!

)

I was up early because I was SUPPOSED to be dressaging!!!!!!

Never mind - at least I am secure in the knowledge that I have a pony whose white bits are actually WHITE!, clean tack and my show gear is ready to go....... For my first show of the year NEXT month. Bet it snows then as well!

Why couldn't it have snowed tomorrow? I was really looking forward to today! Grump!

Oh - and I'm £20 worse off as well! Lost entry fees!

yes tell me about it. Am getting fed up with it. Cant ride in the week so the weekends are the only time I can, and low and behold what do we get, more of the white stuff. Oh well at least my boy wont be able to get to muddy. (I hope)

As I was just planning a day of holing up in my room writing (I promised my grandad I'd finish something I started for him two years ago
blush.gif
) my day won't be derailed by the snow... but I'm really cross with my sister atm because even though my mum is really terrified of driving in snow, sister has sulked and sighed and wheedled until mum agreed to take her to church (in Peterborough, 15 miles away!) to see her friends.

My mum's a pushover, but that's no reason to guilt-trip her into doing something she's terrified of... she was practically crying when they left. Horrible sister.

Anyway... slight rant there...

Yep its white here too

I can see me and daughter walking over to do the horses later but on the plus side Bella's white bits will be white (ish)

Charmaine18 I hope your mum is ok and not too upset by driving in the snow

She got to the top of the road and came back home again because the main road wasn't any better. Selfish sister still gets to see her friends though, because dad has come home to take her in his truck.

It's starting to melt already here... the SPRINGVIBES are working!

We went on our (snowy) hack!

Bob had a
smirk.gif
'look at this weather, we'll be staying put today' look on his face when I got there - only to be replaced with a
shocked.gif
'OMG is she serious?? YES SHE SODDING IS!' expression when I started tacking up.

It was a lovely (very forward going) hack. We only walked obviously but I didn't know he could walk that fast........

Love riding in the snow. Had a nice hack out with my OH on my 2 TB's. Quite ok as the ground is not frozen here in Derbyshire. No slipping on the roads, and had several nice steady canters up the woods on a snowy track.

Always amazes me how many people think its not good to ride in it and so dont. Horses never seem to have a problem running around their fields in it........

I tried to hack out in it once. Horse's back end slipped and she very very nearly went down, my feet touched the floor. And getting off to remove snowballs from feet every 5 minutes is really annoying. So no, I don't hack in the snow.

Ketlic- I was up at the yard working for 8.15am, the journey there was horrible
