Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but has anyone seen/heard all the forecasts?!?!? Another BIG freeze in February (although starting tomorrow night here) with lots of snow

There's never been more of a time when I really really hope they are so wrong

I wonder if we can build an Indoor arena in a week!?!?!

I'm South Warwickshire, but I know forecasters everywhere are saying it's going to be all of the UK again. We're forecast heavy snow next weekend, with -5C every night.

Arghhhhhhhh, I really hope we're moaning for nothing as I've just got my horse going well again and should be affiliating BD in Feb. I know it's not life or death but it's just soooo fustrating when everything comes to a halt for snow.

I'm actually thinking of getting some sheets to cover some of our arena, but don't think it'll work if we have
-8C temps at night

I love snow! sorry guys

But bringing in my horse is so much easier without it... no mud... and riding in the snow is so peaceful, no one else around, bliss... Yes the dressage will be cancelled again, but we'll cope. More chance to nail our canter before the next competition. I can see why it can be an issue for so many people, but it does have its positive sides...

Noooo....!

I'm only just in my second week of getting to ride again after 4.5 weeks enforced time off because of the Dec/Jan snow and ice. I have just plotted out lots of exciting things to do in Feb/March and do not want more snow and ice back again!

Arghhh! How annoying.

I am in the same position as you - finally got off my backside and getting my horse fit again ready to compete late February and then this is coming again!

Sheets over the outdoor arena sounds like a good idea. Last time I dug a track around out outdoor arena and that worked really well until we had the second lot of snow!

it has no positives for me Evil_Cookie.

as soon as it snows, our arenas freeze up solid = no riding.
as soon as it snows, our yard freezes up solid and so do the roads and woods = no riding

last time it snowed my horses got so behind in training etc - they are JUST back on track... i REALLY hope it doesnt snow again

they are both just 'clicking' in their showjumping, i have so many shows planned...please...no snow

NO MORE SNOW!!!! Just getting my donkey up and ready for our first dressage lesson tomo with a mind to compete in Feb. Its taken till now for him to remem how to go in an outline!!! I'm sick of the mud but at least we can use the arena! Couldn't ride for nearly 3 weeks last time. Yard on top of big hill means lorrys can't get out or us to hack.
