Can see field from road and driving along thinking somethings wrong. Grab feed buckets and head collars and toddle down to field. Ponies are in the wrong paddock. Cue me scratching my head as fencing is all up, nice and tight, and I think, is someone muddled with the days and trying to play an April Fools joke? If so, its not funny as I don't like anyone moving my ponies without a good reason, let alone my youngster.
Then I see YO and she mentioned the weight of the snow had caused havoc with the fences and they'd just finished sorting all the horses down the bottom fields. They were making their way back up and mine are at the top and probably the safest to do last, as they were both secure. I was mortified though!! New yard for 3 weeks and my ponies can't do something simple like stay in their field where they have hay
I untie the fence, take them out, undo their paddock and put them back in. Ponies then decide to have a look for another way out. HAHA -they can't. At the top of the yard, is a metal gate so even if ponies get out of fields they can't go far.
Some pics after sorting the ponies:
Electric fencing was down and the bit in front is a walkway and the paddock to the right WAS empty but you can see from the hoof prints they had a whale of a time

and anyone else had similar issues?
