Mines been out 24/7 now for last 2 weeks and just seen weather forcasting snow!
Does anyone believe it will?
For others who have turned out last week or two, would you consider bringing back in at night through very bad weather if it does turn nasty or just rug appropriatly??

Goinng through just the same decision as you! Mine been out for a week and very happy, Cold with us tonight so out in medium weight. If weather really deteriorates then I suppose he'll have to come back in

Yeah mines been naked for 2 weeks but put a rainsheet on her tonight cause it says -4 in the early hours. I was putting fly masks on last week! Now this!

Mine have been out for the last two weeks naked but rugged em tonight as really cold. They will come back in at night if the weather gets bad.

*sticks fingers in ears* la la la, can't hear you :p :D :D

Ha ha! ^ this was almost my response to someone saying about forecasted snow today :D
Yup we'll be getting it up at my yard methinks. Shame as the horses were all looking lovely out naked too :( Hopefully it'll just be a flash in the pan type snow and then we can get back on with the nice weather... please?! ;)

We are at the top of the South Pennines, so it's quite possible that if there's any snow around, we'll get it.

Our horses have been out 3 weeks now, as much as anything because the oldie cob was beginning to show signs of stiffness every morning. None of them has been wearing a rug. Unless the ground becomes very wet again, they will stay out, with rugs if necessary.

Fingers crossed that the snow stays away, sis is looking after them by herself next week, while I'm away and it's much easier when they're out.

The BBC news gave snow possible over our area (North Wales) this week. Was going to start to leave our boy out but might as well delay a week or so.

*also with fingers in ears going lalalalalallalalallala*

I put a rug back on my TB yesterday, and she was happy to get it back on (sods off if she doesnt want it on, stands like a rock if she does).

Yes, the upside is if it does snow, at least the melt water will be handy. Although Id rather it just rained at nights for a while :p

Local forecast here (was light drizzle for Tues when looked last night) now showing rain from mid afternoon on Tues, heavy rain by 6pm - followed by sleet by 7pm - then snow from midnight onwards, tho thankfully not lots, but will keep on till around 6am.

Makes no difference to me now as Big Fuzzy on boxrest :( tho Tiny Fuzzy going to be a bit put out as we've been doing a great job in de-fuzzing the winter coat.............

Hmmm...we are in Wales, and up a hill...

Ours have all been out since the end of feb, so certainly the cobs will stay out just with thicker rugs and extra haylage.

May have to bring the 2 thoroughbreds in though as they hate the cold and wet and will trash their field if forced to stay out.

Will play it by ear once if/it happens.

Don't think it is an April Fools as saw snow in the 10 day forecast a few days ago, sorry!
