Does anyone else find snow lovers really irritating?

Snow is such an inconvenience....dreadful driving conditions...half of the staff "cant" get in meaning those that do struggle in have twice as much work to do as we have to go in as cant afford to stay off.

Struggle to yard and deal with grumpy horses. If you dont make it to yard have to pay yard owner meaning more expence :(

The only people who love snow are school children, teachers, those who don't work and those who work from home. The rest of us seem to gate the inconvenience.

Oh and people who originate from colder climes who enjoy laughing at the way us brits can't cope .I used to have a Canadian secretary, who was unbearable when it snowed, "you call this snow!?!?" Etc etc

What I hate more is people on Facebook who feel the need to update their status every 5 minutes with "Its snowing!" "wow its cold today! "YAY SNOW!" etc etc. Its winter!!!!!!1

Its a good job I have Facebook otherwise i would have had no idea it snowed 5 days ago, and then froze, and now its snowing again! Even when lugging bottles of water through the snow to the field!

Rant over :D

Bit like HHO then :D Never mind, makes a change from flooded fields and boggy pastures, in Summer it will be hard ground, heat, flies etc or the lack of. :D

I love, love, love the snow - most of the local schools close meaning no school run mothers and my journey is actually BETTER because of this!!!!! Bring it on!!! Glad we have two Four wheel drive vehicles in the family now!!!

I had a group of Finnish visitors over for Crufts one year. We had about 6" of snow and they were freezing as they could not cope with the damp here.

My bugbear is the peephole cars! Clear your ******* car windows!

For the first time ever I'm actually dreading snow (don't have any here yet but it's forecast) because I need to go up and see my loan horse but can't drive!:mad::mad:

I used to love the snow until I had a horse :/

Haha I am fine with snow (makes a change from mud and rain at least) as long as it does not cause me or anyone else any inconvenience, as in if Britain could cope, which it can't!

I am glad we didn't have any over Christmas as I feel sooo bad for people who can't get home to their families etc because of transport troubles :-(

Laughing at this! I love the snow when I'm on my part time week, as horses are at home etc. When I'm working and have to drive 200 miles to Heathrow I have a totally different opinion!

This year I'm getting wound up at the panicers who report every single flake they see as "the start of it all, woe is us..."

I had a group of Finnish visitors over for Crufts one year. We had about 6" of snow and they were freezing as they could not cope with the damp here.

I once landed from Detroit in the US, where they had feet of snow and got the planes out no probs, to Heathrow, which had a slight dusting of snow, and it took longer to arrange people to drive the steps/baggage trucks etc and actually get the people off the plane than it had to fly across (6+ hours!). Highly embarrassing!

I love the thought of snow until I remember I live a mile from the yard, where as everyone else lives about 10 miles away so I end up having to look after all 7 horses! as well as having to get to work doh!

My late riding instructress said snow came with the number 2.
It made the land look twice as pretty, it took twice as long to get half as much done, twice the effort needed to do the simplest job. You are twice as wet - from the snow on the outside and sweat on the inside and by the end of the day you were at least twice as tired!

She didn't like snow either!

I just want an unfrozen unsnowed on school I've accepted hacking is rubbish now due to churned up fields from certain YO going shooting but I now can't even work my horses who have been kept in due to same persons decision on field closure!! And its DIY gahhh!!!
