Snow/ski boots for yard

With all this cold weather my feet are getting really cold really quickly atthe yard - my warmest boots are my muckers and they are just about managing to keep my feet bearably warm.

A few weeks ago I noticed a local outdoors / camping shop had a ski-wear sale and they had some boots for about £40 that looked similar to mucker type boots but come up higher up the leg and I'm wondering about getting myself a pair...

anyone else wear this type of boot around the yard? just wondering how they'll last?
 
As we still have snow and sheet ice here, I have dug out my snow boots bought for skiing. They are fab - warm and cosy with excellent grips and I haven't slipped over once. Only plan to use them under these conditions so should last many seasons - horse seasons I mean as doubt I can afford to use them for ski ing again.....!
 
My old snowboarding boots (old style, very soft) are very warm and great to wear on slippy ground. They cost me £10 on ebay

A chap at work bought a pair of mucker type boots that came up past the ankle. He thought they were fairly warm but unfortunately were not entirely waterproof!!
 
hmmmm just been to look at said boots again and although very warm - fully fleece lined, the rubber bottom bit isn't nearly as tough as my muckers so I think I'm going to re-think...
 

I have boots similar to these:

and they are the only boots to ever keep my feet warm!! Like muckers but right up the leg!!

I love them!! And you can ride in them... so no cold tackroom boot swapping!! and they dont really slip on ice either i find
