I'm a bit of a weather freak - I check the forecast every day to help me plan pony related activities!

I'd heard rumours of snow early in November but had hoped they wouldn't occur.

Met office and accuweather are now forecasting snow early in November (in fact met office forecasts some snow on Friday this week).

I hate snow!! Our yard is on lock down if it snows as the roads are very difficult in bad weather - and I still have lots of competitions planned this year!

I really hope they've got it wrong!!

Yup, I heard sleet and snow this Friday and from mid Nov onwards :( Although tbh they are never really accurate that far in advance so not overly concerned atm. We are right on top of a big hill which makes getting to the yard a nightmare if it snows, and no way would you try and get a box out. Hopefully it will hold off for a bit yet though, fingers crossed!

You can keep your snow. :p

We had 23C yesterday, 15C today, my grass is still growing which I like very much.

Time for all the "OMG snow is forecast!" panic posts soon then :( :)

According to Metcheck (fun site by the way) we are not due snow until the 29th when it drops to -4C and then it will melt and there will be mud. I hate that.

Oh, look at that :) Predicts -15C on Dec 25th :D but only five days until March below -20C. Warm winter then really, if all goes to plan :)

Eddie the Beagle was not impressed when I threw him out this morning.

You're safe Dizzy I'm in Canada, we got lucky and missed most of it, some people have had a foot already, and they will probably stay white until spring. Ours will probably go again, hopes, prays, cries a little.

It is supposed to be very cold here by the weekend, but I'm afraid I don't have much faith in the forecasts (especially beyond the next day!). I think the best way to tell what the weather is doing, is to look out the window! ;)

Someone said there could be snow as far down as East Anglia! But checked the weather forecast and it should be sunny albeit chilly! I just hope we don't have a horrendous winter like two years ago. A 40 min drive home from work took me seven hours!!!

Hope not! Am in Essex and last time it snowed it was horrendous! Couldn't get cars down and horses were stabled for the best part of 3 weeks with very limited turnout.
Looked on met check and all we get is rain rain and more rain. Am hoping to get horse clipped soon.

welllll, i love snow sooooooo :-))
metcheck says sleet for us on monday....then rain... then light snow on sunday 4th :-))
very rarely however do we ever get snow as we are by the coast but fingers crossed we will get it.
My landrover has just failed its MOT but should be having its retest by weekend, maybe i will be needing it this winter :-))

Can cope with snow.. just not the thaw after, just like I can't cope with any more rain! Doubt we'd get any snow down here in Dorset mind, so here's hoping for some colder frostier days to dry the place up - like lots!

I've decided I'm only going to believe the forecasts that say it's not going to snow!

I don't mind one or two snow days but it's only nice for that first day when it's all crisp and white. It's when it freezes or turns into muddy slush that I hate it.

It's also not conducive to getting out to pony parties and I have a busy few months planned (weather permitting)!

Is there only me that thinks Metcheck is the most inaccurate weather forecast ever? Apparently it's raining according to Metcheck where I am right now. The moon and stars and clear sky that I can see must be hallucinations....
