Bloody hell, i didn't realise you guys had that much snow! I knew the borders and west has some but not that much! We had a VERY light sprinkling that turned to rain pretty quickly.

Lovely pics.... is your hay more expensive when you have weather like that? How does the Farrier/vet etc get through in the snow and how about riding, do you just ride in the snow or do you have an indoor school? We moaned like mad last year when we couldnt get off the yard for 2 weeks, you probably dont see the roads for weeks at a guess. Just curious how you cope.

hi Izz :-)

i buy enough hay in June when its cut to last me 1 year . i dont know what the prices are like at this time of year .

if the snow is very bad i tell my farrier not to visit .

i ride in the snow, if its warm enough , ie if its not frozen hard . no school but have 18,000 acres so plenty of flat areas.

Lucky you, all that space to play!! Bet you dont have to put up with rude drivers, lorries, roadworks etc. Must be heaven. As I said on your other post, your house looks like some we saw in Florida when we went on hols, looks beautiful. Horse looks lovely by the way..
