Are they all much the same fabric?
My horse keeps getting his neck cover ripped on his fly sheet so wondered rather than buy yet another If I can utilise a rug I already have.
Its the spic and span ( I think) winter under rug, are they the same as the sweet itch bug bodies or heavier fabric?
Also wondered the opposite, if a sweetit h hood could be used as winter turnout?
thanks!

The sweet itch rug material is lighter weight than the winter turnout hoods. Its still pretty heavy weight though. You coud probably use it in winter if you waterproofed it. I dont think they are waterproof but its been a while since I used them so I might be wrong. I havent seen the spic and span rugs in person so cant help there. Give snuggy hoods a rung, they are generally very helpful.

I’ve given up on snuggy hood sweet itch hoods as the first one got ripped badly - sent it off for repair, it came back and he managed to get it off twice - the first time, one of the other liveries found him just as he was about to get it off his head but the second time he lost it so completely I never found it. He got very sweaty under the one I got to replace it and rubbed himself raw through the fabric.

The winter turnout necks are fairly thick and have a lining I wouldn't want to use them in the summer I think they would get too hot, plus they only come in dark colours so will get baking in the sun.

If you just want a neck the cornerstone browband lady on Ebay makes them made to measure I had some made some years back and my horse never ripped them, I even sold them on Ebay after I lost the horse as they were in good condition.
