thinking of buying one for our new grey who is now brown.are they as good as im led to believe they are and can they be used with full neck rugs.as i know theyre expensive want any good and bad reports first before i spend any money

I've got two & they save hours of washing & grooming time. I paid the extra to have ears added & I opted for the zip-up version. I have used them under a full neck rug but it isn't recommended by them. Something has rubbed my TB's mane out the last couple of years & I don't know whether it was the snuggy hood or the combi rug! Still using them though.

You can get a head only version for full neck rugs, but I still found that my horse managed to get plastered around the top of his neck. They sell their products direct on ebay now, specially seconds, so you could try there first. The last one I bought was only £50 +p&p off ebay.

I am hoping they are as good as all the reports as I ordered one last night (without the zip though as was worried about that catching or rubbing) after realising that everytime I take my grey mare out she has to have her neck washed as she looks awful. Will probably only use when really needed i.e. days before riding and shows but fingers crossed it works and she wont mind having it on! I looked on ebay but didnt do the size I wanted so ordered direct (postage is only £3.50 during November!)

the head only version is rubbish - i had one and sold on ebay. I also wouldnt use one now as someone told me a horrendous story about the full head ones with eye holes and the horse got it caught and it ended up somehow twisting and nearly blinding it. you can get ones that end just on the forlock area where your browband would be they would be safer.

just heading into the 3rd winter with mine....we're on clay soil and my mare is a mud wallowing hippo! I got the version with zip and ears, worth every penny and wouldn't be without it

This is my 2nd year with mine. It has been fantastic and I use it with and without full neck rugs. I has been a godsend with my mudlark grey!

When I get organised I am going to get ears put in mine

my sweetitch boy has never had any problems with his.

Did have with his boet face mask found him one day with it over his eyes, luckily when it happened he just stood still, until he heard me then came towards my voice.

Could potentially happen with the snuggys too, however as it is a better tighter fit it never seems to move.

Merlin is between sizes and consequently it rides up to his eyes and rubs the fur off if left on every day

I am going to try to follow their instructions to make the chest smaller, which apparently will help, but till then would say that I dont like them very much

I have a choice of very tight medium or baggy med/large
