I've got a section D who unfortunately has had a little (about half a cm) bit of his mane rubbed. He has quite soft hair so I think he rubs easy.
I was wondering if the snuggy hoods really do work? (the turnout ones) I was looking at getting a lycra hood to wear the night before shows in the summer but I was hoping that the snuggy hood would work for that aswell?
Thanks

I have the sweet-itch set. None have sweet itch but they work as fly rugs, anti-rub, keep them clean in the field and have travelled in them so that when flies were bad in the summer my plaits weren't rubbed/shaken out while they stood in the box.
So basically I think they are super and I'm sure the proper t/o hood would be just as versatile.

i have used lycra hoods from other brands and haven't had any problems with manes being rubbed out.
i used a fleece snuggy hood one though (which has a mane saver bit in it) and the mane was coming out loads! their lycra ones may be different though:o

i have the fleece one and its been great- mane is all still intact. friend's hasn't worked quite so well though so think it could be a case of trial and error!
