As title really... My snuggy hood saves me soooo much head & mane washing (grey competing every weekend) but I was just washing his tail this morning when it occured to me that maybe I could get out of this too... How wonderful to roll out of bed, grab my horse & go with NO buckets of water involved.

So...who uses them for turnout & do they stay on? My horse is out 24/7 all year round & he does like a good roll.

Thankies!

Someone on our yard uses them. She is very knowledgeable so I can't see her wasting her time on rubbish products. They do look like oversized condoms though

I get mine from a Western tack shop - cheaper than Snuggy or Tailgator. Mine stay on for a week between brushes, occasionally two.

I have a grey mare whose tail gets stained when shes in season, and the tail bag stops it totally.

I've just had a look at that tailgator link & OMG that horse in the advert! What a white tail! That's what my horse's was like on the day I got him, but since then it's been somewhere between orange & yellow cos our soil is orange.

I've soooo got to get one!! No more tailwashing in midwinter!!!!

I use the tail gator one. A girl on the yard bought a snuggy one, but it kept falling off so she has got the tail gator one now. The snuggy one is in the field somewhere.

Thank you people - I've just ordered a tailgator. Very excited about no more tail washing. I HATE it - we're competing every week, so it's a weekly pain in the a**e. Plus I can never get it cleaner than slightly to moderately yellow.
