SO ANNOYED !!! (sorry if you compete bsja) bit of a rant !

my boy is entered for cheshire next and as you may have seen from previous posts hes gona lame as hes got problems with his feet ...
so ive just rang the organisers as my vet wrote my a certificate to say he cant compete so i can get my entry fees back and they told me that is was too late in the day BUT ! if i was doing BSJA then they could !!!!!!!
why is it that showing people always draw the short straw ????
im sooooo annoyed ! its discrimination, showing fees are just as expensive (if not more for hoys classes) as show jumping classes, do we see the kind of prize money they get NO ! i know thats not what its about but WHY seperate us ? we are all out do enjoy it and do well on our horses !

Totally agree - it is really frustrating. Equally, when there are judge changes and someone ends up ride judging that you would not want on your horse in a zillion years - no refunds.

It's ridiculous - my friend has had to pull out of RHS cos horse has done a ligament and has lost a massive £150 for one class with no refund available.

have a look in the rules - it should say that entry fees will be refunded on production of a vet/Dr's certificate - didnt think it would say anything about how close to the date it is. I would double check and argue the point if that is the case. I had to pull out of a dressage comp the day before because of lameness and they gave me the option of having my cheque back of transferring it to another date.
