....with myself and my horse.
Alee is now in her 4th year so have started to do a bit of work with her. She was backed lightly last summer and then turned away till just before xmas.
I am just doing 1 lunge / long rein session and one hack per week.
Just before xmas I got a friend to do a week of intensive hacking with her. She went out about 5 times in this week and saw everything from gates to puddles etc etc and didn't put a foot wrong. I had to admit that I was too nervous to start her hacking career off well.
Since this time I have hacked her once a week and she has been so well behaved even giving our safe cob a lead past some scarey building work
. I have to admit I am still a little nervous before getting on but once i'm on most of my nerves seem to disapear and we have such a lovely little ride. She is only hacking for 20 mins at the most but I'm hoping to build that up over the spring (if we get one)!!! Once she actually tunrs 4 I will concentrate on a little schooling and have some short lessons on her.
Sorry for rambling on but I am just so proud of my baby!!!!
