I have bought a new horse- and am simply thrilled with her!
We picked her up last Friday from Devon- she was bred by HHO member Sallyf and she is by Sally's Sadler's Wells stallion High Tension out of a Makbul (Fairy King) mare.
She is rising 4, ( 4 in April) and she is a really athletic mover and she was fab when loose jumped over a fence. But most of all its her temperment that pleases me- I had not appreciated how great her temp was when I went to see her but now Ive got her home I like her more and more every day. Have never come across a temperment as good as this- totally sane, but extremely intelligent, she's brave but genuine, and she has been so easy to handle- travelled in the trailer for the first time for 4 hours - and did not turn a hair- arrived at the yard and relaxed and settled into her stable straight away yet she had just left her lifetime home where she had been born.
She needs re-breaking- she did 3 months work last year- but I think that it will not take her long to get her going again she is so easy and laid back
I just look at her every time I see her and think 'WOW'! so am so pleased with her ! ( sorry have said that a few times now!)
She's having her first lunge tomorrow....
Oh and her dad High Tension, is SERIOUSLY sexy in the flesh! A very very good looking boy with a super temperment too.. Ellie is his first foal so his stock have yet to be seen on the competition circuit, but I think he will DEFINATELY be a stallion for the future, he has been used on advanced event mares(note for those who are stallion shopping at the mo!!)
Some pics- having probs with photobucket at the mo cant seem to uplaod all of them! Will get some more recent photos uploaded this week...
