Despite having 6 on the yard we were 'needing /wanting' another horse for the summer months but didn't want to buy one and have it long term. (My niece has outgrown her pony but won't be able to ride in the winter, and we've only got my horse for adult fun - the rest are ponies / youngsters / retirees etc)

Was chatting with a lady I know from hunting a month or so ago and commented that she was selling her nice little grey whom I'd seen hunting, and said I would love to have it if I had the space for another etc etc. She said she had someone coming to see it shortly, and I joked that if it didn't sell I'd take it for the summer.

Well today she gave me a call asking if I'd still be interested as she's losing her grazing shortly. Too right I'm interested! So the deal is I'm insuring him, having him on loan until cubbing starts when he goes back to livery. He's still going to be for sale in the meantime but we can play with him as much as we like.

Here's his ad link - I think I'm very lucky! Needless to say my niece is very excited as the horse is called Haribo!

Well, I think he's gorgeous :)

But then I could be biased.............15.1........"compact".....gelding.....grey. Reminds me of a horse I know.........:D

I hope you enjoy your time together :)

Beautiful!
Looks like youre going to have a great summer!
definitely something to be excited about, and I agree with tasel, you'll want to buy him by the end lol

Aw thanks guys, I thought I had totally misread him and that I was doomed ;)

My mates have said he's just my type and that I'll want to keep him in the end but truth is I will be too big for him in the long term and even though he could make a next pony for my daughter i have a home bred Connie lined up for her - if she continues to ride to that point.

I don't need him to stay past the summer - we'll be knee deep in mud and hunting before we know it, and then he'll be one too many. My hope is that we get some fun with him and that we can bring him on a little to aid his sale for his lovely owner. I don't normally get this sort of thing come my way so am dead chuffed it looks like lady luck is smiling on me for a change!

Oh he looks lovely, you lucky thing, I'm not jealous at all.

Goes off to kick the dog in a temper.

Seriously he is a handsome chap and looks like you are going to have a great summer, enjoy him!
