So excited - sand arrives on Friday

I'm so excited, my sand finally arrives on Friday for my school - I've only waited 2 years for one and the end is in sight!

It has been hard work doing a DIY one but I am hoping the saving in cost will make all the hard work worthwhile!

My question is do I have to wait for the sand to settle or anything before I can ride on it or can I get my horse tacked up and go?

no no no you will need to let the sand settle and roll it for ages you really need heavy rain to compact the bottom. you will have to wait to use it, sorry my friend her hers put in and she could not ride on it for a couple of weeks as it was far to deep. if you are prepaired to go out and water it and roll it, the sand will settle quicker. you will know when it is right to ride on. if you go out and ride straight away you could damage the membraine ect hope that this makes sense!!

Ah! You could put a lawn sprinkler thing on it and just let the hose run for a day.
