Why oh why, are neue schule bits so expensive, really want the universal waterford but its £50.

before anyone suggests have tried ebay.

Second you on that one! I ended up getting a waterford dutch gag instead, as I just couldnt afford the neue schule waterford universal. I think there expensive because they are fashionable personally!
 
might be doing the same as you and going for the 4 ring gag, its just anoying as I know I will never use the bottom ring, just need the one for a little extra lift !!

Exactly the same as me then! Have never used the bottom ring, and I only use it for hacking in and it has worked wonders! He is like a different horse hacking! Allthough when he comes back into work on friday, I feel bottom ring (with roundings!) may be used after 5 weeks off and instructions to stay in walK!

Sounds like you have an identical horse to me !!!! Will defo try the cheaper gag then do you just use one rein on the second from bottom ring or do you use roundings ? What mouth piece have you got ?
 
I have one!!! Lovely bit it is too. Well worth the money IMO.

What size are you after? I have a copper waterford on loose rings and waterford gag. Pm me if you're interested. mine are 5 1/2 and 6 inches respectively.
