my horse has had 5 months off with some random ligament/soft tissue injury to back or pelvic area though this is a loose dianosis to say the least!! he's slowly being brought back into work (hacking out in straight lines in walk for 20mins a day) and appears sound (he was badly lame behind when in work previously) the vets so far say he looks sound and he def feels nice and bouncy. however, he still snatches at the reins occasionaly and stretches his neck right down to the floor. he doesnt snatch violently but he is quite insistint. i give him the reins and he will stretch down for a bit then pick his head back up. do you think this is a sign he's still not right?? or just fat/unfit and tired?! all his tack has been checked and adjusted to fit his new fat frame and all checks have been done to death. what concerns me is this was something he started doing when he first started going lame and he's still doing it to some degree now.
