I finally plucked up the courage to tell my current yard owners that I've decided to move tobe. I only dreaded it as i've got some great memories from where we are at the moment but its just got to the stage where we really need to progress with his ridden work. Without an indoor school and with the outdoor school getting locked everytime there's only the slightest bit of drizzle we're not getting anywhere.
He's just turned 5 and is way behind seen as i've had to re-train him from his racing days and he's certainly better than what he was - just not where he should be, sooooooo we're moving to a new yard just down the road from where I am now, with an outdoor an indoor school. We're allowed to loose school as well which I think will really help him have a good stretch.
We're also able to buy our own bedding, so where I was spending nearly £900 a year on shavings (yes £900!!) i'm switching to wood pellets which appear to MUCH cheaper.
Pretty excited now but will be sad to leave the old place
Ive only ever had him at one yard so if anyone's got any moving tips, thoughts and opinions are much appreciated
Cheers guys.
