So Guess what i went and did? I'm in so much trouble!

Oh stop it lol, he IS just that amazing.

Even OH (who is as unhorsey as they come) has said how smart he looks, and did he want a rug because he was getting wet. (i know welshies are hardy little things but i am very tempted to pop on a little sheet... hes sooo going to be spoilt!)

Have just given him a token dinner, as he is a bit chubby, and left him now, hes really settled into his little paddock so tomorrow we shall see if he wants to come out for a little play. He wont leave me alone for cuddles so im guessing he will.

Still cant help but think about the ones who went to the MM. :( We walked around the ones left just before MMs trailer pulled up and if i had known... well i know nothing could be done but its the first time ive properly seen the horses that are doomed and it all felt very unfair, and it didnt help that someone commented ''He'll have the heads off of them by tonight, they'll be in france by the morning...'' :( :( :( :(

It makes me very sad tyo think of those that go to the meat man. How horrid. One of my fears is that some stolen ponies and horses could end up that way, it's not a dignified end for what may have been much loved animals. :-(

He looks lovely though. I must make sure I never go to any of these sales! i think I now know the answer to last nights question about what I'd do if i won the euro millionstonight though.......!

Well not much, other than he needs his flu vacc and he is 4, and that i got from the paperwork.

Owner didnt seem bothered really, she came over but started talking to someone else before i could question her more fully and then disappeared.

So really i have no idea about him other than what im learning from being around him and the description in the catalogue. Was a lead rein pony, can pop a small jump, good to do, etc. He is a really nice boy, and have visions of him and my little boy PCing. :D

Cute pony :) But please be careful with him on that green grass ;) Does he have a name yet?

No you are right, its not far from my mind, but by sunday he'll be sharing it with a 15.3 greedyguts so i doubt itll last!

We'll get him on the lunge ;) and next job will probably involve getting some tack and drafting in a little girl or boy maybe.

He is lovely, what's his name? I think he looks a bit swollen under his jaw too, maybe just banged it at the sale.
He looks like he hasn't been starved anyway lol
Horrible to think where he could have ended up. Sounds like he has landed on his feet and your horse now has a wee friend to play with and wee boy has his own pony. Sounds like a successful day!
Why was OH not happy if you were there looking for a companion pony, or had you kept that a secret?

awwh what a cutie! I'm so glad you got him, hearing the circumstances makes me so sad - how awful for the other horses, Specially if they're as lovely as your little chap. I don't think I could cope going to a place like that- I would want to buy them all :(

I know the feeling. Have been there many times and it isn't nice but sadly the markets need someone like the meatman to buy for slaughter. He is the cleaner upper of other people's sins. Same as the knackerman, lots of folk don't like what he does but at the end of the day, he does a job no-one else wants to do. :(

Anyway, I think you have got yourself a lovely little man there, let us know how he goes, which I am sure you will :)

Sad but true.

What a pretty little boy - fabulous stockings! Have you named him yet?

Tormenta that has to be the nicest way I have ever heard a MM/knackerman described!
Sadly yes, there are a need for people like him, but luckily for your new lad, OP, he got you!

Lovely little pony, to think where he was destined :(
You may be in trouble, but I bet that pony is very glad you turned up.
Well done for saving him

the comments people say are so horrid :( :( :(
That pony is going to make a little girl or boy very very happy :D (unless you get too attatched and then he'll make an adult very happy instead Lol)

Did he not come with a passport? If not then once again the Auction marts are making a mockery of the Passport Legislation. Looking at him he looks to have been bred rather than just having been born for the sake of it so he may well be registered. Lovely looking pony!
