Think my quirky, nappy mare has turned a corner.
We went out in the gales yesterday to attend the intro show at Sands Farm to do the Clear round and then class 1.
She had a bit of a nap on entering the arena and when we had to go past the gate to fence 3 (but nothing that a growl couldn't handle). She went clear. Then we got a double clear in the class and came 5th. Bearing in mind we have been eliminated about 95% of the time out jumping due to napping or lack of confidence I felt a bit emotional that 1 we got in to the jump off, 2 got a double clear and 3 was placed.
She even got mum out of a sticky situation when I cocked up my stride to the last in the jump off, sorted herself out and jumped it cleanly. Very happy mum
