Thanks to the people that contributed to the big old thread about sparklyness and matching items!

It was my birthday and Lilly got a fair few pressies so thought I would add some pics. I have to say that when NM (I think it was her) said that dressing up and looking and feeling smart makes you ride and feel better I wasnt overly convinced but actually Lill was amazing to ride in the matchyness. She is normally pretty good but she was ultra good and really grown up feeling. I wish there was someone there for pictures as my medium work (which normally is a bit hooning off with me, but think thats just the ex racehorse coming back! Esp as I have spent ages making her calm and sensible till now) The medium was really powerful but without the bu**ering off and head flinging!! My shoulder in was better but I still ride her like a total numpty when asking for it! If I could sort myself out and stop dropping through my hip then think it would get better.

All in all I think it was the best she has gone :D

I cant wait as going to stay with Adam Kemp as soon as he can do and then take the plunge with BD

So on to the pics. This was the pad from the Netherlands cos it was so lovely and pink...There was only a person to take a picture as I got on so only 1 of me (minus my head!!) walking to the school. The rest are just of loopy Lill....

At the end of riding

Sparkly swavski browband and no grackle!! She did get a new grackle bridle too because I left my posh one in with my foal and it get chewed :o

This was today in her pretty anky set when there was no one about and we had been out on adventures in the truck, hence headcoller! Dead sheep on headcoller is a bit extreme but EVERYTHING rubs Lilly as shes a very sensitive soul. So if headcollers on for a while this goes on.

Closing eyes to shut out the horror of the matchingness!!

Proof that Lill doesnt always be forced to look silly!!!

So thanks to everyone who pushed me into perhaps smartness, well maybe not smart but less messy!! I just hope this isnt too much of a sparkly slippery slope!!

Vicki :)

The sparkly slope is the slipperiest one you'll find! Lol

She looks lovely...it's a good slippery slope!

She is a very beautiful horse. Love the browband, but the vivid matchy colours, while lovely, detract from her natural beauty. But then I do like sludge colours, so probably know nothing anyway.:o

We have headcollar dead sheep like that - ours is Navy, and has to be on 24/7 as I can't catch her....

Love the colour of the pad & bandages....Really fab.

I think you are fully converted now!! My work here is done!!! *sniggers*

The pink Eurostar looks FAB - can't wait for my set to arrive for bruce (although I have accounted for him being a boy and have ordered taupe bandages instead!!).

Bling looks similar to what Bruce has - except I've hung bits off mine to make it baggy!! Really frames her face - like what eyebrows do for people!!

Love the Anky set on her too - really really suits her.

Properly laughed at the dead sheep picture! Can just imagine her thinking 'Oh the shame. The shame of it all.'.....

Your schooling sounds good, you must employ a camera bitch (ply a small child with sweets perhaps? In a non creepy sense....!) and get some pictures of flat work with her - she sounds like she has a lovely set of paces. *high five* for the progressing medium work, I find it tough to not let them run and lose the power, so really big fat well done to you!!

Loving the colours! I have just received the aquarius set too but not had a chance to put it on yet. Where did you get the browband from? x

Love both sets :) What set is the ANKY one? Is it the 2011 Aquarius?

Yeah it is. I really like it. I also really like how thin and long the bandages are. Some of my polo wraps are really quite bulky and look a bit dumb on her skinny legs!! I might get another set in a few weeks

Lol Ill get a sludge colour next then. Is sludge just black and brown?! Or are there other scales of sludge?:confused::confused:

I've just got a set from HKM,beige/gold piping saddlecloth and matching beige wraps, really nice. Someone on here knows who does the the anky sets on Ebay, can anyone remember who? Wanting a Anky set for our flatwork training and for group lessons i'm doing weekly. Your horse looks fab, very smart.

Poor Bruce is going to have to be all the man to pull off the pinkness of it! His face is going to look ALOT worse than lillys does in the dead sheep headcoller picture!!! It really is :eek::eek::eek: pink!!! I think the pink bandages with it were a bit much but hey, in for a penny!!

Poor pony in all her dead sheep stuff, she didnt get all this when she was a racehorse. She probably thinks "oh how the mighty have fallen!!" In fairness she did only race twice, didnt finish the first race and came last in the second lol.

I will pester mum to come and take some pony pictures when the sun is out. I dont like the idea of plying children with sweets, also I dont really know any!!

The problem with the medium was at first she thought I was just asking her to gallop and just zoomed off with her head in the clouds for about 5 strides!! It was really attractive!! The worst thing about her is she has jumped out over the school fences (which arnt small!!) so it was a bit alarming when the 5 strides of out of control were straight at the fence!!! Its nice that its getting a bit more controlled, less hooligany and loads more ground covering :)

Ebay. I searched for sparkly browband I think... The lady is lovely but a few have fallen out, shes going to send me some spares and then I think I might clear nail varnish over the top. Has anyone tried this? Or done anything else?

Please step away.....no no....run away!!

Nooo I think the pink bandages look fab, but I've already got a raspberry pink top to wear with it, and brown breeches - so thought I'd go for taupe bandages so I don't totally emasculate my horse!

LMAOOO sounds like my sisters TB...in the videos of him racing he is so 'la de da afternoon canter hack.....'!!!

I think you'd be better off pestering your mum and not trying to pick up small unknown children!!

Ahhh...I imagine.... Try collecting/pushing forward/collecting/pushing forward on a circle, as an introduction to 'we're going for a lengthen not a race!!' type-aids! Lovely to hear of progress though, as always.

Lol...ok so no animal print. Got it. Im still learning you see! I did just see CS lovely grey set and you said grey was on the sludge scale so maybe that will be the next one!!

The second you put the PINK pad anywhere near your boy pony you will of already emasculated him about 1000x more than you would of thought possible!!

Im only just getting to the stage where I can alter from working to medium without drama and I think that will be the biggest thing to help me along with it now. Id like to be able to be a bit better before Adam so will try to school her a bit more and less jumpyjumpy!

Love the pink! I love that colour!

Lilly the Pink! :D

Having seen your effort, I may even get a bit matchy matchy myself....not sure how long I could keep it up though!:D

Black is easy peasy!:D

CS' pad is from Eurostar, it's pretty nom!

Mmm...yeah I guess so.....is hot pink any more masculine than baby pink? As we now have a set in both....;)

Ahh I see. I hope your clinic goes well and you come away feel enlightened and having more stuff to work on!!

Erm...would you like to come to my Matchy Addiction Therapy Course ? Its an intensive 3 day course in which you will learn how to walk into the tack room blindfolded and drag out the bandages and saddle pads from the top of the pile from a tasteful collection of brown, black or ditched white. Cost of course a trifling £3750.99p.

I think the fact he has 2 sets of pink is probably worse for his masculinity and his wonderings about his sexual orientation!!
