Firstly, WE'RE GETTING THE SCHOOL BUILT! YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Secondly, YAY!

Thirdly (lol), I was wondering if you guys could recommend me any exercises that I can do with my 1 year old. I have pole pods, we will get poles!!! Lol. I can also get my hands on any other things like cones etc... The arena will be 20x40, so plenty of space.

I'm looking for FUN, not work so much. Exercises that will strengthen our bond and also improve on groundwork and would be great to make a start on anything that will help schooling.

Would be really appreciated! Thank you in advance =]

I used to make stuff and put it in the school and lead my 18 month year old through it all.

Had a tarp on the floor to walk over. Had baloons all down the fence. I made an arch thing and had baubels at differnt lengths and tinsel all over it and dangling, so horse had to walk through.

Just use your imagination!

It worked a dream. This little mare turned out to be the easiest horse Ive ever backed and bombproof! And it was loads of fun.

Right when school built will be coming over :p Lucky you. That wonderful :D Bet your so excited. I found if i had carrot, apple with my boy and walk away and get him to follow then run then he trot after me etc then run extra fast then he got really excited :p Formed a great bond!! And he was 12 when i got him and he now 16 nearly 17 he loves it :D xx

Make an obstacle course. Round the cones, over poles, over a sheet of plastic. I had my youngster following me over little jumps. Had to be little as I can't jump big ones - I am to old now :D
