I am possibly doing a show with the fat liability on saturday and the class is (honestly!!) called ridden cob/horse/hunter

So we are a middleweight hunter, but the description has completely thrown me in terms of what will be expected of us! Apparently we will all be in the ring together and judged 'as a whole'

I am assuming the normal spin round together in W/T/C then a gallop (hope i am not behind some tiny cob he could be squished!!) then ... well thats the question!! Ridden hunters dont normally do ind shows do they? Normally thats judge ride and strip? (horse not judge!) but i think cobs do ind shows AND judge ride AND strip. I know nothing about ridden horse classes!?

Anyone EVER done a class called this before that might be able to give me some advice in terms of what to expect (aside from carnage and guaranteed dissappointment :))

Thanks so much!!

No it's only hacks that do an ind show.. but this sounds low level to me so you probably will do an ind show and I doubt there will be a ride judge or a strip (judge or horses)...

Pray for a hunter judge :)

At local level, hunters always do individual shows where we are.. That sounds a really mixed bag. How do they judge that! They may as well throw m&ms in too and get it done with in one go!

It is not a rare class - quite a few unaffiliated shows have them (sometimes called ridden show horse). Don't worry about the cobs - they usually gallop a damn site faster than any hunter.
And many riding horses at local level also do the hunter classes - so I don't really see where the problem will be!
If the judge rides, she will ride all of them. If she does not ride, then you will all do individual shows.
