so... honestly how many rugs have you got ?

I have literally got a shed full of rugs, I can't even remember them all if I am honest.
"My name is Skint1 and I am a rug-aholic" but now they'll have to make do with what they have for the next couple of years, I am broke and worried about my job (public sector)

Far too many! However I do have 7 horses although 3 of them are unrugged and the others generally only have either a rain sheet, medium turnout or heavyweight turnout on. I also leave their T/Os on overnight even when they are wet as they seem to dry much better.

I have have just sold my old boys rugs but have still got a couple in the shed i didnt know about but think i might just chuck them as not very good rugs but apart from those my mini shetland has got-

2 turnout rugs
1 fleece
and 1 hi-viz exercise sheet (we had it made for her)

but was sayint this morning i would like to get her a turnout with a neck cover. I know she is a shetland and dont need it but i cant help myself!!
 
My pony came with 1 turnout that has a repaired-yet-leaky rip in it. In addition, he has:

1 HW turnout for really really wet days when he's shivering (wore it about twice last winter)
1 fleece
1 cooler
1 hi-viz exercise sheet.

I think my rug situation is still under control! :)
 
Luckily my two take the same size and suit the same shape in rugs, they have between them:

2 x mediumweight turnouts
4 x lightweight turnouts
3 x thermatex
2 x lightweight coolers
1 x reflective quarter sheet
1 exercise sheet
and a string vest cooler

Don't have any room to store any more, so can only get replacements.....:D
 
Haven't taken the time to count them.
But I would say in total, turnouts, fleeces, stable rugs inc.
Probably 8 or 9.
(I have just the one).
I am more of a saddle cloth/numnah freak! - I have about twenty!!

I must have over 100 rugs now, did a proper count a couple of years ago and counted over 80 then and i've bought quite a few more since then. I have got 6 horses though and have had a few others in the past that ive kept all the rugs for. Ridiculous really, wouldn't dream on spending that much money on myself and my own clothes!!

all u need? if its really cold put all 3 on and its wet and warm the just the light turnout. so many combinations so few rugs lol. i do manage to get them washed as well. cos if its not raining then i get the turn out washed and just wash one at a time so she always has something that she needs

well..i have one gypsy cob youngster..and 3 rugs!

1- cooler
1- fleece (which is used as a stable rug)
1- medium turnout rug

but..they are all getting abit small now though, so rug shopping is needed! :D :D :D
im very good with rugs, have to refrain from drooling over the very expensive ones in the magazines though!
 
Oh god, I've got loads even after a major rug clearout a year ago. I have 4 very large chest fulls of rugs, most of which are old ones I dont use (but you never know!). Probably use about 10 of them regularily and thats only one one horse... I only have 2 other retired ponies who only need a couple of turnouts...

One large double duvet.
One pony sized summer sheet.
Two fly rugs.

so.... 16 incl the duvet - 4 per horse or thereabouts.
