Well we set off and got stuck in traffic.....it took over three hours to get to Stafford with a horse who didn't appreciate being in the lorry! :( I felt exhausted by the time we arrived! Luckily I had left an extra hour!!!

We went to the dressage and this is the first time we have been able to get left canter since her surgery last year :D The canter felt a bit kamikzee but we did stay in the arena which was good :D

She was a star in the show jumping but went from being bold in the working in to being very green on the course.....which did work well for me as the turn from 6 to 7 was quite quick ;) We got a nice clear :D:D

We set off on the XC in pole position!!!! :D Moo is very green so I just wanted to have a clear round if poss......she was brilliant :) She wanted to look at everything but she took it all on and we had a fab gallop up the hill towards the end of the course :) So we got a double clear but had time faults :)

We were 10th. After the last year with all our ups and downs just to be eventing again is a miracle!! :D So it's Eden Valley next for us hopefully :)

Nice pic and well done.

Its nearly a 2 hr drive for us. My mare not been out since Shelford last year and does not like the sticky ground but managed to find a small corner for dressage warm up. Decided in the test she would go a bit rigid and the 'walk' ended up doing a jiggy type thing but I was happy with 33.8, 2 poles down SJ which is normal for my mare she is a bit clumsy. Flew around the cross country - well it felt like it but I had 2.8 time penalties so clearly was gliding and not flying lol. The older I have got the faster it feels and not having done a BE for 9 months I think I need to find the correct 'speed' again. Was very happy with her though - she seems to have found her mojo again.

Not sure if I can remember how to upload a pic :)

Nice one, well done. Think she's a new horse for you is that right?

We bred her :) Started her last year then she went very lame and had to have stifle surgery......touch and go....a years rehab....given the all clear in Jan and told to get her fit and crack on............hoping it all goes to plan and she stays sound!!! :) :)

Lovely pic, well done! Stafford is on my event to-do list :)

I love Stafford - was so glad they found another team to run it this year. There is another one in July.

What an achievement well done - you must have felt emotional crossing the finish line knowing what you had been through to get to that point.

Well done Eventing Girl and MardyMare :). When are your next events?

Thank you. I am going to do Norton Disney in April which was supposed to be my first for the year and then a friend was doing Stafford so I couldnt resist. :)
