So as i sit at work and look out of my window...im htit by a bright light i've nott seen for a while. Could it be? I ponder to myself...I gasp...it is! Thats the Sun! The folk of legends. :D

yes, its true folks, down here in kent there has been an appearance of that strange spherical object documents as a Sun, it emits heat and melts snow. (or so i have been reliably informed)

So..... :D .... How many of you are turning out today and how many brave souls are rugless? I cannot wait to get dee's rugs off and the sun on her back :).

All our 5 are out 24/7 now (2 normally come in at night over the winter months as they are clipped). It's still a bit chilly here but they are happier out in the main. However, it's forecast rain tomorrow which is annoying as the fields are just starting to dry up! :(

It's a wonderful sight, ours finally went out for the first time since Nov on Sunday. Many of the horses having a good gallop round, not my mare she wondered down, rolled got up and grazed, no running around...boring, still have a rug on though as we have a sea breeze down here :)

This is my worse time of year!!!
Horses are all out 24/7 but still being Hayed and fed...naked in the day and rugged up at night. I hate all the on off as I have 17 to do lol

Its a nice feeling knowing the horses are out (fields will dry in time ) Lets just hope they dont cart around and churn it up!

Well ours have been out 24/7 all winter... and we've been taking rugs off during the day all week as its been sunny and bright most days...

Mine have half a day all winter but this weekend been out till later. But today they went rugless and my two were trying to groom each other the whole time to the field, was so lovely to see them all out and no weight on there backs.

It was 9c on Sunday and I turned my boy out rugless. He started walking around in a little circle so as soon as I saw his legs buckle I shouted his name to try and distract him..... but alas he rolled, and rolled, and rolled. Lol. Later that day when I saw him he was covered in mud! He really enjoyed it. :)

Mine has been out 24/7 all winter. he is also naked so no excitement from me, other than poo picking is much more pleasant in the sun :D

Mine is grey and Irish x hippo, so I've compromised brought in to hard feed and left hia rug off in the stable for a couple of hours. It would litterally take me 3 hours to get a rug back on otherwise!!

I'm just heading down to my yard to take my boys rug off. It's so warm here (South West) - dogs all in a heap basking on the patio :)

Mine are out 24/7 all year and have been rugless for the last few weeks. They are of the very hairy variety. Rain is coming tomorrow though so lw's will go back on. Much prefer if they can be naked.

Ours are out everyday anyway come rain or shine but today they are out naked!! They have been turned out together for the last 6 months but havent really ever been able to groom eachother naked as they have been rugged up to the eyeballs so this morning I left my horse licking his girlfriend in the sun, was very sweet!! :D

The bog pony is out rugless today for the first time. He will be tonight though in his jim jams. Bonnie is out and rugged up, but she has just been clipped. We are fortunate enough to have 24/7 turnout and ours have been out all winter weather permitting.

mee :D

ours are going out earlier now :) (like 9am - 5pm :D )

still every other day which in all honesty im glad of as i can spend that other day doign some work with her!

wont be long until we get daily turnout and i will have to get up earlier to work her haha :D
im so lazy :o :D

ets - not naked today :( was cold when i put out this morning but knew i should have took it off im sure she wont melt tho :D

Been out every day all winter and have started leaving out some nights now. Weather has been nice here for a while, ground has really dried up no mud apart from a couple of patches. Not out naked today as was quite cold and foggy first thing.

Just been down in my lunchbreak and taken the LW rugs off my two (it was minus 1 at 7am when I did breakfast and took the night rugs off!)

One of mine is a grey and a big girl so I'm really hoping she doesn't roll in a muddy hole today and chooses a nice grassy bit instead to save me spending hours getting the mud back off tonight!!

Mine's fully clipped and went out for the first time rugless this weekend as it was so nice up here. Still rugged and in at night at the mo until the nights get warmer and the grass starts to grow.

Mine are on 10 hrs in in day, out overnight and got some doing opposite. Out naked and happy today. Actually keen for some rain, our chalk is rock hard already!

mine are all out pretty much all the time as usual - turnout isn't unusual for us folks with common ponies, DD :p I know it's more of a rarity for you sorts with your flash poncebloods :D

Oi, I'd say Reg and Bee count as poncey ponies (more so than those cobby warmbloods ;) ) and they've been out 24/7 all winter! Admittedly, Reg wears enough rugs and blankets and things that the amount of him exposed the air was virtually nil but he was outside :D Even in the snow

Don't be daft  they're not ponncebloods, they're athletes
