Looking for something in the S.E, or possibly in East Anglia as well if horse ticks the boxes. Budget is up to 9k but preferably not much more than 7k. Looking for something to hack out with and maybe do BE80 or RC activities with too but hacking is the main love so if it's not going to jump that big but could hack all day, I'm interested. Willing to consider a project or less experienced ride if it's not a project because of dangerous behaviour.

Must haves:
Minimum height of 13.3hh if chunky or 15.1hh if slim.
At least 4yo, no older than 13 if a horse or 17 if a pony
No history of big bucks/rears or bolting
Being ridden in walk trot canter already

Preferable:
Already hacking out alone
Already popping jumps
Not grey
No vices and not girthy

Willing to stretch the budget for this:
Confidence giver out hunting

Also looking for recommendations for nice not pushy dealers in the area. Or does anyone know anything about Irish Horse Imports? I like the look of some of their TBs.

TIA!

I have bought horses from Chilver House Stables in Norfolk and they have been awesome. But they are a very rough and ready dealer, you could be caught out if you're not experienced in looking at horses, but if you are they are definitely worth a look.

Kirsten Mayne is in Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire and has some very nice horses on the more expensive side.

Irish Horse Imports are good but also proper dealers, so have to make quick decisions etc.

If you'd travel to the South West (Glos) I know a good person who takes sales liveries and matches them to new homes well?
PM me if that's not too far for you.
Unfortunately that’s a little far for now but thank you :)

Will have a look, thank you. “Caught out” in what way?
