One day I will learn that when Jan shouts over "Coffee Time I think" Captain Sub Title is actually saying "I am about to drop you a big piece of news"
So as you may know we had to take Vardi back a fair few steps when he started clamping onto the bit and bolting (fun it was not!) so for the past 3 months he has been long lined only in a side pull. Jan got back on board two weeks ago and all is going well

Anyhow yesterday's conversations went thus.
Jan: "The Long lining looked really good today, just concentrate on ensuring that he whoa's immediately from Walk, jog and lope, if you have to jiggle the reins do so, if he does not stop automatically back him up start him in walk again and ask whoa again keep going till when you ask for whoa he tucks that butt under and stops dead"
Me: yep Ok
Jan: "anyhow its in your interests to get it spot on ASAP"
Me With an air of suspicion "Go on"
Jan: "you thinking of going away in the next few weeks"
Me with an even bigger air of suspicion "no not till August why"
Jan: "well I think its time you started to ride that big boy of yours again, start off in walk only and go over the steering exercises and whoa, when you feel comfortable take it up into jog, then lope"
Me "ummm ok"
Jan: We'll do a lesson on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, then you can start every day for an hour to get your feel back"
I have bought Rescue remedy and let you know how I get on.
