Flash’s Flatwork is finally making progress!

Being unable to hack and having to school if I want to ride has finally made me knuckle down and try an get flash working properly on the flat…

After 2 weeks of ice and snow on the ground… and therefore 2/3 sessions a week in the indoor on the lunge and ridden… flash is finally getting the message… we had a consitent outline in walk last night... sooo chuffed with him...

Hehe… Trot next… that could be much more challenging… but fingers crossed! xxx

i did take a video of the sesion.. but its hasnt come out great and there is about 30mins of us mainly walking... which is a tad boring so im going to edit it and then might put the link up for some CC!

Still i look like this

which makes a nice change from the frozen half to death look ive been sporting recently!

he is 14yrs and ive owned him for 10years, so its a tiny step in the right direction but feels huge to me.. given ive been much more bothered by hacking and jumping than dressage to date!

Maybe some mini ODE's arnt out of our reach... in the future at least! x

but hopefully we will be able to find the arena surface soon and get on with getting fit for the RC showing season in May!

Oh for an indoor school. I last rode on New Year's Day (a short hack on the roads dodging patches of ice) as our outdoor school hasn't managed to defrost at all. Not bothered about getting back on Monty as he never changes but Archie's going to be fun, especially as he's not allowed to be lunged since his lameness so I just have to get on and hope for the best
