Merrily chatting away to him regarding making a custom saddle for my little boy who has CP to help with his balance and independant riding, I must say this man is a genius, suggested so many brilliant things, I even had a sit on one of his saddles and OMG it was like sitting in an armchair, im seriously impressed.
Now we are sadly talking big bucks, but as there really isnt anything else out there I can find (inky dinky saddle too small) I am considering it, but, worried because its a massive investment when he outgrows this pony and moves onto the next one,
any thoughts?

Will pm you as in the back of my mind there is someone local that should be able to help just need to give it some thought, once the Badminton coverage has finished.

I saw a saddle recently which wassimilar to the Wow saddles but had adjustable 'rolls' in front and behind to support the young rider - they did mini xc and looked very safe. Will try to find out what it was, several people commented on it and they did say that it is not a Wow (we live a couple of miles from their HQ).

I have a wow saddle, I bought it about 8 years ago as I could not find anything else that fitted Ron, didn't move, didn't restrict his shoulders and that I felt safe and comfy on.

I love it. I don't regret spending the money what so ever, it's still as comfortable as it was the first time i rode in it. Plus, I have to say, that the service I've had from Wow has been exceptional.

I have a wow dressage saddle giant high knee block and i must say having a big moving warmblood that was mu firts thought it is like riding in an armchair. she can buck canter, throw a paddy and i dont move. she has benefitted from it a lot ion her movement she it flexes with their backs more than a normal saddle. yes they are expensive but they come up on ebay and also are fully adjustable so you only buy one and can have it adjusted a lot more than a normal saddle. i found them very good and thier fitters are good too.

David at Wow is great. Was it just a bespoke seat and flaps that your boy would need? Because the Wow saddle has interchangeable parts, I would hope that the saddle could be adapted to suit future ponies.
