...... GOT BUCKED OFF, TWICE!!!
I haven't come off for such a long time, and I certainly do not bounce like I used to when I was younger! My whole body aches! I landed on my side (both times), going to see midwife tomorrow night, so will ask her to check baby!
He had me off on Sat afternoon on the way back from a hack, was with a friend, in the field on way home and he just stuck his head between his legs and bucked and bucked and bucked until I hit the deck and then he *ucked off across the field! Was so angry, once we got hold of him, I got back on him (which in hinesight was probably the wrong thing to do in my condition) but I was so angry with him, and I think I had dented pride to! Shortened my stirrups and my reins, gave him a smack and asked him to walk back round field - and off he went again lasted about 4 or 5 bucks this time, but still him the deck and he galloped off again!!!! Got back on but this time just rode back to yard - so gutted. This being pregnant lark is really quite an inconvenience cause normally I would have got back on and carried on till I won and not him - but can't really do that!
Think I had delayed shock as only now realising how risky it was! It makes you realise just how special your own horse is doesn't it - and that you really do build up a special bond with your own horse. I'd trust my life with Jack but you just don't know other horses!!
Anyway, pointless post really - just feeling a bit gutted and defeated I thinkly!!!
