So my nice cob Henry, my first horse, fun but strong may never be very good at dressage just doesn't have the concentration span but he adores jumping and is good at it - adores XC i don't really want to do sj with him so my thought is this HUNTER TRAILS what do we think? is he a suitable type? Where would i start? etc etc....

any horse can do a hunter trial, as long as they can jump

cobs love xc and galloping! no idea where you would start though, maybe contacting the local hunt?

Why not, there are a few small courses you could use to practice, Crown Farm near Ascott under Wychwood, or there is a small course at Bloxham - and once you have had a go just keep an eye out for schedules for local events
