Yuch cannot stand Laphroaig, luckily I tasted it before naming a dog after it

Ardbeg was considered but we chose Talisker instead.... and Lagavulin is a dogs name not a bitches name to me

Actually my favourite ever whisky is Knockando, but I really couldnt bring myself to call a dog that

When you write about Islay I always wonder how many people read it as Is-lay

My Mum would have to call her dog Drambuie, which isn't too bad, but it would just end up being called Dram, which is a bit boring!

I can't stand whisky, unless it has lots of Sloes in

The bloody vets tried spelling it as Isla - I soon put them right about that

Hah, my Mum's eldest dog is called Dubh (pronouced Doo, mean Black in Gaelic) the Vets pronouce it Doo-ba-huh

It is a nickname that has stuck with him though

Then my Dad's dog Jek, everyone always assumes we mean Jack
