Have today purchased a lorry. 7.5 tonne, N reg Iveco E75-15.
It is a new conversion on a mechanically sound chassis. Tested till December.
Obviously I will need to insure before collection, so can anyone tell me who is the best (and most reasonable) to contact for insurance?
Also, who is good for roadside recovery?
What is road tax for a 7.5 lorry too?

It is all very exciting!!!

My road tax was £165 so cheaper than my car!. I insure with Anthony Evans and havent had to claim or call recovery yet but they were the cheapest and people on here recommended them.

My 7.5t is insured wth NFU and we've got breakdown/rescue cover with them aswell

same here but ours is a 10t or 10.5t
have claimed to have it picked up from the painters when it wouldnt start and they was really good had no messing.

Mines through KBIS who were about £200 cheaper than South Essex and £100 cheaper than the NFU. Thats for Any driver over 25 and me who's under it!

Tax was £165

Im with SEIB and have had to call thier recovery! they were brilliant and didnt quibble at all. as i have an older lorry i got the home start as well and they were not that much more expensive then anyone else.

Ive heard some horror stories about anthony evans recovery service and it was the main reason i didnt go with them (well that and the fact they dont do home start.)
