I took my young mare out to our first dressage today.
We only did P4 and stupid rider forgetting the test lost us 2 marks. Plus a night out last night and not being able to get up this morning left me with only 20 mins to work in!!
However she was calm and sensible in the warm up, she's never seen dressage boards and these didn't phase her plus it was only her 2nd time in an indoor school.
We got mainly 4's and 5's with a couple of 6's and amazingly an 8 for our free walk. We ended up on 49%.
We got some lovely comments from the judge with the final comment being " A promising youngster who in time will soften and relax "
I was very pleased with her and can't wait till our next one now!
