Thanks ladies xx I think so too , she does have huge ears doesnt she lol .

Congrats!!

We'll be at Dublin all week with work (& I think Niamhy is coming to help too) so we'll see you there!

Well done - she looks like she really enjoyed it and she is a lovely type.
Got to ask a question though - would it have been correct to wear that type of browband in the class (don't know what class you were doing so that's why I am asking!)

Thanks ....Its a sports horse class (half breed) There was quite a few wearing them in her class and the colts class. I know she has a lovely head but as you can see she doesnt have any marking at all and thought it would add to her .

I was tempted to use the plain one but had left it behind at home .
Whats your take on them ?

I know that sports horses are "different" when it comes to turn out, and they are probably accepted. I always think that brass should be on driving ponies! If you are doing other in hand classes i.e. riding horse, then you can get a coloured browband and she would suit something like yellow and navy perhaps? Hunters would be plain leather. If the top 3 in the class were wearing that sort of browband, then I assume it is correct!

I know what you mean especially the ones with the brass type rosette things on the side of them .

Not sure what ones where wearing them to be honest , was just watching her lol .

But thanks for the advice much appreicated xx

I know this is dragging an old post up, but we were disussing the tack for sports horses and I have finally found my rule book! These are for UK classes only - not sure about ROI classes!

The SHB (GB) rules state:
Manes should be plaited, tails pulled or laced.
Yearlings, two and three year olds must be shown in plain leather snaffle bridles.
