Yesterday, i found out that a little filly - the first foal by Luidam - we have known since birth has qualified for the Newcomers final at HOYS! We first saw her at 2 days old; we were at a pony club rally (my trainer, who bred her from his Grade A mare, was coaching our SJ team). Four years later, after falling from my horse (haha!) and breaking his leg, he asked my mum and i to break her in....she was an absolute dream! he sold her on as a 7 year old as she was a little small for him, and now i have found out that she has qualified! i am soooooo pleased, she was a lovely little mare and the fact that she has got this far makes me so proud!

a friend, who i used to work for, has a little mare in the final, and i remember her saying she was for sale only coz she was to small for the last owner. mby its the same horse? do u know who currently rides the one u know??

coz if its the horse im thinking of, its such an amazing careful horse!!

awwwww wow! i actually havent seen her jumping since she was sold, but she always had it in her. She was (i think) the 5th foal out of my trainer's mare, and the only one that looked like living up to her mother! a monkey in the stable, mareish in all the normal lovable ways! i can remember the first time i pulled her mane, she just stood and trembled! bless her. cant believe she gonna be at HOYS...i wish he never sold her!

she always has people commenting apparently on how careful she is, and for a little horse she really does have a massive jump! i wish she was my horses.lol!!

me too

! whats gutting is that she nearly could have been, she was just that little bit too young when i got Ellie, otherwise we could have had her. but then, all that talent would have gone to waste, coz i would never have been able to take her this far! and i would never have got Ellie then, either! lol

Thats cool, I will watch out for her at the final. As the proud owner of a Luidam 4 year old I love seeing how his other stuff are doing. have you got any photo's of her?

unfortunately i dont....iv never been very good about taking pics, and didnt have a camera fone wen she was around lol! she takes after her dam in colour (and temperament!), but is quite like Luidam in terms of build, certainly in her face! have you any pics of yours?
